Featured vacancy – Opportunities for Chief Superintendent/Detective Chief Superintendent

Starting salary : National Chief Superintendent payscale plus £2,000 South East allowance (or other housing rent allowance).

Essex Police is continuing to grow. The force is increasing in size by approximately another 400 officers over two years, we are rebuilding key parts of our estate and solving more crimes.

We are recruiting for suitably qualified Superintendents/Detective Superintendents who are eligible for promotion and Chief Superintendents/Detective Chief Superintendents to wish to join us as a level transfer.

You will demonstrate a true commitment to developing a diverse, empowered and enthusiastic workforce which meets the needs of policing both now and in the future, while ensuring a strong public service ethic and an absolute commitment to fairness, integrity, diligence and impartiality.

Promotion assessments are currently scheduled between 2nd and 14th March 2022*.

During our assessment process you will be required to demonstrate evidence at Level 3 of the national Competency and Values Framework.
